A thoughtful rear extension & refresh of a period family home in East Molesey, bringing light, connection, & character to the kitchen, cloakroom, & nursery.
Brief
This period terrace needed more space & light at the rear, better connection to the garden, and a dedicated nursery for a growing family all without losing the home’s original character.
Design
The rear extension opens onto a paved courtyard through steel framed sliding doors, with a roof lantern bringing light into the kitchen. Soft sage cabinetry, brass ironmongery & marble effect worktops connect to a side courtyard, while a terracotta cloakroom & botanical nursery complete the scheme.
Build
- Full rear extension with roof lantern
- Bespoke hand painted shaker kitchen
- Custom joinery, including cloakroom & nursery panelling
- New courtyard paving & steel door sets
Results
A kitchen that finally works for family life connected, sociable, full of light alongside two smaller spaces with real character. Coopers’ craft led approach to period renovation runs through every detail.
